Jianing & Diana - A Wedding

As many of you may remember, Diana and Jianing are a couple that you may have seen before whether on my page or in real life. To say that their relationship and love not only reaches into one another but in fact, across the entire world would not be an understatement. In fact, their guests travelled a total of over 60,000 miles to be with Diana and Jianing during their special day. So not only do Diana and Jianing’s love resonant within themselves but it spans a quarter of the way to the moon, literally!

This wedding was unlike any other that I have been to in the past in that the merging of cultures, love, and tradition took place in humble West Lafayette, Indiana. From the beautiful ceremony at St. Thomas Aquinas Church to their stunning wedding reception, the food, the attention to detail, and the surprise dress change from Diana’s white wedding dress and cathedral veil to a traditional Chinese wedding dress, the evening made for one of the most memorable and remarkable.

One of my absolute favorite parts of the evening, aside from watching two very loving and beautiful souls become one, is the Lion Dance, performed by the Indianapolis Chinese Community Center Inc., was so beautiful showcasing the emergence and growth of love between our two birds (or lions in this case).

The speeches by Jianing’s father, best man, and Diana’s sister warmed the crowd as well as filled us all with laughter as we heard of all of the fun and sage advice that they gave.

This is a couple that I wish the absolute best to now and forever. They have been absolutely a dream and I know that their love will continue to grow and flourish as they pursue their dreams and lives together.

Take a glance below at some of the amazing imagery that I was witness during their wedding day. Some of my favorites include some "outakes" that they have agreed to let me share including Jianing throwing Diana's veil in the air about 3 or 4 times before we successfully got the shot that we needed.
